Dussehra special  I will tell you stories of Dussehra  Dussehra is a festival signifying good over evil.  It is also called Vijaya dashami  It has an auspicious time in which it is said that the work done in that time never fails.  Dussehra is celebrated on the tenth day of Ashwin month's Shukla paksha. On this day 2 demons were killed . One Rawan and it is well known that lord Ram killed Rawan.  Another was mahishasura who was killed by mata durga. About Rawan  Rawan was the son of maha rishi vishrava and kaikesi ( the demoness) He was first a great devotee of lord shiva.  He wanted to take lord shiva to his residence so he tried every way and at last he took atmalinga with him lord Shiva warned him not to put it on ground as it will never detach to a place once it touched ground.  Every god was distressed as they cannot win from ravana in matters of power and if he took atmalinga to Lanka he would not get defeated by lord ravan so lord...
